I bought a Ryobi edge trimmer, because it has 2 year warranty. Used it once. Used it a second time it broke in less than one month. Took the receipt and unit in original box to Makro Cape Gate. They say their policy is 14 days only for money back or replace. It has been with them for 3 weeks now and still no news on my unit. Do not buy any gift from Makro and keep it for 14 days and not use it. Even if it is brand new and does not work they will not replace it or refund you after 14 days. They send it in for repair (could even be for your cost) and it can take up to six weeks. Very very poor service from Makro. I will not be buying anything ever from them again. They are not service orientated.
