Woolworths

I bought a pair of slippers at woolworths on the 21st March at Sandton City. When i wanted to wear the slippers i found that they were and odd pair (2 different sizes). I am very upset and dissapointed as I cant understand how this went pass the cashier as i know they are supposed to check and ensure that the shoes are an exact pair.
I don't usually shop at Sandton City because it is quite far out and there is no way i could go back there especially since this was woolworths fault. I decided to go to the branch in JHB CBD. I was 1st told that they cannot exchange the goods and i would have to go back to Sandton City, I cant understand how they can blatntly tell me that especially after there is a clear indication that woolworths was at fault. I eventually spoke to a manager who managed to assist but the only solution he came up with was that i should take something for the value of the slippers., they however did not have the slippers in my size so i ended up taking something i did not want just so that i wouldnt lose my money, i am very dissapointed and i will think twice before shopping at woolies again.
