Bad Attitude because of Poor quality item

I bought a pair of shoes, within less than one week the left shoe's sole was damaged as the stiching came completely loose. I went back to the Canal Walk Mr Price and spoke to a staff member who made sent me to the manager on duty, his name was Abdul. Whilst I was explaining to Abdul about the poor quality of the item he interrupted me before I was finished with my sentence and said that i need a reciept, I said that I do not have a reciept however all I want in return is an exchange for another item, even if the item is cheaper it would be ok, I advised Abdul. When I informed him that this has happened before and when Keith was manager he gladlly replaced it and that casued a ripple effect of repeat busines from myself and my family. Abdul said that he is not prepaired to get himself into trouble for me as I do not have a receipt and he cannot help me and said his collegue, Keith was wrong. I am very disappointment with the way I was treated, it felt like I was just a number and that I did not have a say in the matter, all I wanted was an exchange however Abdul made it known that it was all about him and not the customer!!
