OKAY to fit earrings???

After two of the stores workers walked past a lady casually taking the earrings from their holder and "trying" them on, not doing anything I was astonished by the carelessness of this store!!!
Someone is going to purchase those earrings after they were not handled as a product that actually needs to be hygienic???
