I will never support again

This is a complaint and compliment at the same store, house and home in canal walk, Cape Town. On Sunday 17th March 2013, my husband observed the perfect tv stand as a wedding gift. Lwande (sales consultant) was instrumental in us purchasing this stand valued at R2299. Her service was outstanding and she deserves to be rewarded for this. After investigating that the stand we wanted had no stock anywhere else in Cape Town, we offered to purchase the demo stock. She went to chat to her manager to organize a discount considering it was a demo model on our request. She returned to say that her manager refused and I requested to speak to him personally. Sanjeevy (the manager), although cordial, refused to discount the demo tv stand. Now at this point, bear in mind that I wanted to reward Lwande for her great service and purchased the item full price. But after purchasing, my husband arrived and highlghted the principle thereof. Even if the manager had even given a R50discount... I would have been happy. But instead he said that he had to consult with the retail manager and that she (Naomi) was in a flight to gauteng and he couldn't. manager attitude resulted in us refunding the item.
