Shoprite
Product not sold for advertised price

On 2013/03/15 me and 4 friends went to the Shoprite USAVE in PTA to buy the OMO handwash 2kg packet advertised in their pamflet for R22.99. There was a lot of stock on the shelves and we each took a box of OMO containing 8 packets each. When they rang it up it was R49.75. After showing the pamflet to the manager he said that he doesnt keep that pamflet because he isnt selling it at that price in his store. We phoned headoffice and the lady said that they compensate the clients with only 1 packet each because it was a printing error. The manager rang 1 packet for each of us and we left. I feel this is unacceptable as the price advertised should be the price you pay. There must be people authorizing these kinds of pamflets before they are distributed. Why was it not corrected before hand? We want our 8 packets of OMO 2kg handwash at the price advertised of R22.99. This is false advertising and I can take this further.
