Refused to honor advertised price

On makro's website, they advertised plascon nuroof for R0.00 for 1 Nov 2013 only. Called HQ and spoke to Siyanda to confirm availability. He told me that there was no paint available at my store (Centurion) and that the paint advertised was done incorrectly as the paint was discontinued. I requested that a manager call me in this regards as the CPA states that should an item be advertised and it is not available then I am entitled to either a rain check or a similar item at the same price. I am still waiting in this call. Went to the store anyway, and guess what? They had stock so Siyanda to me. The manager, Sandra, refused to honour the advertised price and refused to put this refusal in writing. She then said that she will give price at a reduced price of R699-00. This is crazy! How can you advertise an item for free and then when people come to the store 1. Refuse to give item at advertised price and 2. Expect someone to pay 699 times more than what the advertised price was. There were also no price corrections in store and the website still indicated R0.00 price at 17.45 when I was at the store. (4 hours after I made head office aware)
