I was contacted in Friday the 8th at around 6pm by a someone from homechoice. My mother who is a pensioner had an account with them, but last year around June/July, we asked for a settlement amount on what she was owing and made payment on the day we were told of the amount. The account was settled. She has not ought anything from homechoice since then. About a month ago I started getting calls that she is owing over R1000 and when I asked about this, it became clear that homechoice had made a mistake and I was promised that this will be sorted out. But I keep getting calls about 3 times a week, re this outstanding amount. On all occasions I calmly explain to the agent what is happening on the account and ask them to read the notes made by previous agents on this account. Now on Friday while I was doing the same with the agent who called, and also trying to enquire what i need to do since nothing has happned to clear the matter, she became hostile and very defensive- told me she won't repeat herself. I through all of that was clamer than she was and she hung up on me. This is truly bad service and is unacceptable. And this was not the 1st time that homechoice disappoints in service
