Beware of your insurance replacement specialist

Beware of P&G Digital zone when it comes to insurance claims.
Make sure that the product you claim for is being replaced with the equivalent product of same quality when P&G is involved.
I had a Technics amp SA-DX950 which was one of the better quality amplifiers in the day. The amplifier got damaged in a lighning strike and now needs to be replaced through my insurance.
P&G insist that the Technics needs to be replaced by the Pioneer VSX-522 which in my opinion is an inverior product to my Technics.
It is not what is on black and white, yes it has more power, HDMI inputs etc.
But the quality of the sound and product is what I am after.
The Technics was a CLASS H amp fpr efficiency where the Pioneer is only a CLASS D amplifier.
I strongly believe that the Yamaha RX-V473 is of better quality and more suitable as a replacement for my Technics.
According to P&G the Pioneer is the better amp yes it does have more power and HDMI outputs but surely it is not the better amp. I doupt that.
In future when you deal with P&G through insurance claims make sure that they replace the product with the equivalent.
