My wife's Tag Heuer watch was handed within the Warranty period. From the start the staff was rude and looking for excuses why the watch cannot be repaired under warranty.
Reasons given:
1) Watch was out of warranty, even though I handed it within the warranty period and had the proof.
2) They claim the watch was worked on by an unauthorized repair shop. I explained multiple times to them that the watch was not worked on. The watch was taken to a reputable watch company to only check the battery. It was opened, battery removed, battery tested. Since the battery was fine we knew that it was broken and that is why I handed it in for repairs.
After numerous email exchanges I finally received an email from the company stating that my watch is ready for collection and it has been repaired FREE of CHARGE.
To my complete disbelieve when I arrived to collect the watch they told me it was a mistake and I have to pay R975 for the repairs. I truly cannot believe the incompetence and total disregard for customer experience and after sales support shown by this branch. When you pay R17, 000 for a watch you expect better than this.
