Lewis Stores
Paid off acc but they dont want to close it

I have been trying to get my Lewis account closed which is paid up in full, however after speaking to the branch, they told me they do not close accounts. I really want this closed. Please assist. this is now affecting my credit record, they are treating this account as a revolving acc whilst its an installment acc which should be closed when the acc is paid in full
