Paid Up account & closed but no update at ITC

I have paid and closed my account at Jet stores in July 2012 but till now they have not updated at credit bereau and this is affecting my credit history. I went to their branches and making calls but till today My name is still there. When I go to their store they agree with me that I have closed my accounts but I really dont understand why it is so hard to update the information?
