Can't even handle a death claim

My mom had an account with this ridiculous place and she passed away in October. On her passing I called all her creditors to let them know she passed and that I would be sending in all the necessary documents once I've finished with her funeral. I'm the only child and my mom is divorced so I handled and paid for all the funeral arrangements myself and submitted the claims after. Homechoice then started calling my number and demanded to speak to my mom EVERYDAY to make payment arrangements and argued that my cell number was hers. Admittedly I only sent the docs to Homechoice in December via fax and speed mail at the post office. They required certified copies of her ID, death cert, affidavit and my ID as well. I called them in Jan to find out why the claim hadn't been paid out and their response was the haven't received the docs... RIGHT!!! So I emailed it all to them again and waited till the end of Feb to find out I need another affidavit not only stating I'm her son but it must say I'm her only son. Why must people in mourning deal with all this frustration from creditors? I'm her son, I submitted her docs so close the claim and account. MY advice STAY AWAY!!!
