Our family has this funeral policy for over 4 years, and have never claimed. I had a stillborn baby so I contacted the claims department to quire if they cover stillborn. The consultant check our policy and advised we are covered, and that we should go into our nearest branch with all the supporting docs and once it has been processed the funds will be paid into my account within the next 48 hour. I went to Southgate branch on 30th December 2013 the consultant faxed all the docs through to the claims department then gave me the contact number and advised us to call them in a couple of hours to confirm if the docs has been received. I called them hours later the consultant confirmed they have received the docs and a consultant will call me within 48 to resolve the matter. Days later no call I called them on 3 Jan 2014 the claim was not processed, the consultant sent a mail to the assessors to process. I called again this morning and it is still pending. This is disgusting service a claim which was suppose to take 48 hour is on going for a week now, still not processed. I will be cancelling this policy, because the debt gets paid every month. Now in my time of grief I have to battle.
