Salesman making empty promises

On the 24 Feb 2013 I purchaced a black lounge suite for R5000, from Mr Price Home in Midrand. The salesman, whose name i cant remember but i can identify him, promised me it will be delivered within 10 working days. i.e. latest 8 March 2013. I even made him assure me in front of my friend that I would receive it on the agreed upon date.

Today, 26 March 2013, I get a call from Claudell, who works for deliveries at Mr Price, saying that they can only deliver the following week after the 8th March. I have no lounge suite at the moment.

This is a case of the salesman making false promises just to get the sale? Is that the type of service that Mr Price give to their customers? This whole episode makes me sick. I am so dissapointed and distraught that I will have to spend an additional week sitting on the floor!!!
