Humiliated and ripped off

We bought a so-called rolled lamb roast from Meat World which turned out to be an inedible roll of gristle fat and cartelage. After keeping our dinner guests waiting for hours we could not even cut it. So we took it back to the shop this morning expecting to get something better to compensate us for our time, gas, travelling and inconvenience. We were offerered our money back an that was that. When I said that I felt that we had been robbed, the guy (Lance) went ballistic saying that nobody "calls him a ". "Nobody insults me in my house" he said. He then took R100 and threw it at me, which is not the full ammount. Obviously his shop does so well he can afford to be arrogant. What happened to "the customer is always right"? When I said that he had just lost a long time customer. He continued performing and I had to get out of his shop before there was an even more ugly scene.
