TV in for repairs 3times in 2 weeks

I booked in my tv for repairs on the 06.02.2013 with a power button issue, the tv was repaired and I collected a week later only to find the button works but now the set switches on and off on its own. I rebooked the tv and it was collected and returned the same day. It worked for 2 days and does the same thing again and it has a red colour. I called MMR (hifis repair centre for LG) and was told the TV will be collected and repaired again. As far as I know I must get a new TV or my money back for repairs going back within 3months (CPA). I was rather told that because I have extended warranty the technician needs to determine wether he cannot fix it and then it needs to be sent to HIfis RM for approval. Whats the use of purchasing an extended warranty and now Im more without the tv then with it. What if my warranty ends and the tv still has issues? or is this actually what they are trying to achieve.
I must add that at least there is a very helpfull lady by the name Sheraline working for Hifi.
