Return of whatch still under warranty

The hands/ arms on my Fossil watch (still under warranty) became lose. I went into the Fossil store in Menlyn to hand it in under warranty. The attendant accepted that there was a problem on the watch and that it is still under warranty - but then he informed me that they were busy with stock taking and that they cannot take any items in for repairs - expecting me to once again take time off an drive in to Menlyn Shopping Centre to hand the watch in. This is a major inconvenience for me - and it is a stupid rule.

I want to be clear that the attendant was very courteous and was clearly operating under rules. But the rule is stupid and causes a lot of inconvenience for me as customer. I am disappointed in the watch (clearly arms becoming lose is not acceptable) and even more disappointed that Fossil expects me to hand in a faulty item at a time that is convenient for them and with total disregard for teh inconvenience caused to me as custome
