During December we bought a Deluxe 4 Arm Aluminium Rotary Dryer with a one year guarantee from Makro Cape Gate. Yesterday the arm that keep the dryer up broke. I wen to the Returns at Makro only to be told that unfortunately the supplier will first have to look at the problem and then decide if it will be replaced or repaired. If it must be repaired it will take up to 6 weeks. Totally unacceptable. With a product like a dryer I expect that if it break after two months that it must te replaced if there is a year guarantee. The service of Makro was quite disturbing as the "Manager" explained to me that the supplier will make the decision. I bought the product from Makro and not the supplier. If it broke after two months it will happen again. Does the guarantee mean that in one years time the product will be repaired all the time? In coincidence? Another client brought exactly the same product back to Makro before me. With exactly the same problem? But like the manager told me two products broken is still not enough proof that there is a problem. On one day? With a product like a dryer?? My experience is that Makro put the rights of the suppliers before clients.
