In early 2012 I bought a Bissel vacuum cleaner from Makro Woodmead. In July 2012 the vacuum broke and I took it to Makro Woodmead for repairs. In early March this year it broke again but was informed at Makro Woodmead that my guarantee has just expired and all repairs would be for my own account.

I understand that companies cannot hand out infinite guarantees for consumable products like vacuum cleaners, but in this case I feel the product was below the expected quality. I only have 2 rooms in my house with carpets, of which one is a spare bedroom.

The vacuum was used very infrequently, probably less than 5 hours of use since I got it back from repairs. In light of this the product did not fit the expectation and I feel Makro can be more accommodating in helping me resolve this issue.

I am generally pleased with the quality of goods that Makro sell and use the retailer to buy all household products that I require. They provide a good service to their clients, but I am very unhappy with the service and quality of product in this regard.
