Terrible Customer Service

I received a sandal as a gift and only wore it once, the stitching on the buckle came out so I decided to exchange it. I went to Greenstone Mall and unfortunately they did not have my size the shop assistant confirmed that Lakeside does have the same sandal in the size I needed. She proceeded to request it on her system and told me that I should go to Lakeside Mall they will exchange it. On my arrival at Lakeside Mall the shop assistant did not want to assist me because I did not have a receipt. Now tell me how can I have a receipt for goods received as a gift! Furthermore she says "But you used the sandal" Yes I used the sandal ONCE, how else would it break? Finally she says she will go look for my size and returns saying there is no size, now why would the shop assistant in Greenstone tell me to come to Lakeside when they don't have the sandal I wanted. Thanks for wasting my time and not even attempting to help me. Consider sending your staff for customer service training!
