I bought a pair of jeans for my son, they were too small. I returned them to MARKHAM Lakeside Mall to exchange. The shop assistant proceeded with the exchange and then called her supervisor, AYANDA to authorise the exchange, Ayanda examined the jeans that I was returning and proceeded to tell me that I couldn't return them because they were dirty - they did indeed have a bit of dust of on the hem, it may have been picked up when my son tried them on, or for all I know could have already been there when the jeans were purchased. It was, however, so slight that I brushed it off with my hand. They were now spotless, but she still refused to exchange them for the larger pair of jeans, which I then examined and found that they too had a dirty mark on the hem and these were STRAIGHT OFF THE SHELF? I pointed this out and also suggested we ask other customers whether they could see dirt on the jeans that I was returning she then became very unpleasant. I questioned the attitude of the staff in the store as on more than one occasion I have felt that they have an unpleasant attitude towards white customers, she then refused to deal with me, her assistant issued a refund. UNACCEPTABLE SERVICE
