No refund more than a month after returning item!

I purchased a GOBI E reader for my husband on 18th December 2013 and returned the item on 21st December. My husband did not want it as he actually wanted the kindle, so the package was still in the courier packaging, unopened. It was promptly picked up by the courier company and when I contacted the call centre to confirm the pick up, it was confirmed that the package had been picked up and that it will be sent to their warehouse for inspection even though the package was still sealed and that i would be refunded at 14 days. I have made several frustrating calls to their call centre and emailed and I get the same story each time, they are going to follow up with their returns department. Why on earth should something so simple take so long to process? No one can seem to give me an answer and a manager is conveniently not available to take my call. Highly frustrating and totally unacceptable.
