Pick 'n Pay
It's all about the money

Shops, Products, Services

On 24/01/2014 I went to Pick 'n Pay Plattekloof. Out of past experience I know to expect bad service, only now they reached a next level.

When I got to the till (Olwethu Filani was the cashier and Madoda the packer) I was not greeted, asked for a smart shopper card, or if I want bags. Olwethu, Madoda, the cashier next to them and a security guard of Pangella Group was deep in conversation and at stages a Supervisor in front would join in. Olwethu scanned my item extremely slowly so as not to miss out on the conversation. The first time she acknowledged me in any way was to tell me the total due. She did not greet, just told me the total.

I spoke to a manager who very hastily apologized and then sped off to "sort out the problem". I received no feedback nor any assurance that it will not happen again, because he and I know it will most definitely happen again.

This happens because management takes no interest in managing or training their staff. It's all about the money.
