I bought a Lenovo g580 laptop on 10/12/13, it was apparent that the touchpad was faulty from the first time I tried to use the machine. I had to threaten CNA with a report in the Cape Times re the consumer protection act and take the laptop into the store on 20/12/13 before they decided to deal with my complaint. Lenovo, refused to refund my money and I was left with an unusable laptop. No one from CNA or Lenovo management, south africa felt the need to return my calls or emails. (although Lenovo HQ did respond and that will be another hellppeter complaint) in desperation, I have been in touch with the consumer affairs reporter, who agrees that it is CNAs responsibility under the CPA, to offer me a refund. the Staff at the CNA, waterfront, still claim they cannot authorise a refund and if i send the laptop to Lenovo (after almost seven weeks!) and they are sent a sealed box, then they will refund my money and are now trying to blame me for this fiasco.

I want a full refund within the next twenty-four hours and for someone to explain to me why CNA able to operate outside of the laws of the land without being prosecuted?
