Bad ordering procedure

Hi there

I would firstly like to start by saying that I have no issue with @Home, their products, their staff or anything about the store I visited. However I am a bit disappointed with the procedure to order an item.

I asked the sales assistant to find out if their was stock of a certain side table. She went to the stock room to check, and their was no stock. She then looked on the system to find out which other stores have the stock. She called and found out that their was stock in centurion.

The problem I have here is that in order for me to get the side table I would have to go through to centurion to collect or have it delivered to the little falls store for an extra R400. The issue I have is that I need to pay an addition R400 onto a R950 item to get stock through to the store, therefore inconveniencing me as they don't have stock?

I just do not understand this system as @home (which I'm sure makes enough turnover), would rather not have a sale than try and source stock to a store for a sale?

I'm just really disappointed by a store that I frequent often and really love. This system of getting stock for a customer is just really poor.
