Bad/No Service for after sales- TomTom Navigato

I purchased a TomTom XXL Navigator for my parents to use over the festive season, it worked for 2 weeks and then started dis-functioning, saying "Searching for Satellite". I gave it a week hoping it would pick up signal but it didnt.

I went back to the Gateway branch and explained the problem to the assistant, he told me he will be back and then disappeared for 15min! No one else was around to assist so I packed my item up and left. I returned to the store 2weeks later and there was NO 1 IN THE SERVICE DEPT. I was advised to 'come back another time' but I refused & the Store Manger finally booked my item in.

My parents couldn't even use the TomTom for their holiday. I was expecting a full refund as HiFi says if your item is "in original packaging, they will refund if UNHAPPY". The Manager refused and said she will book it in as its over a month that I have it, nowhere in the TnC's says this, even on the website!

Its almost a MONTH now since I booked it in, I called in last Fri and today for feedback, both times: NO 1 IN THE SERVICE DEPT. Prabashnie advised me Cheryl will call me back. NO CALL since Fri!

Its over 21 DAYS now, please refund me as per your Bold in-store signage.
