Plastic needle in my chicken???

We cooked a whole chicken from Woolworths yesterday, and my little daughter of 3 years of age had one of the drumsticks, my son of 7 the other one.
All of a sudden she said, mommy what is this? And there was a plastic tube sticking out of the drumstick. I took of photo of it, should you need proof of this.
What on earth???
What if she swollowed it, and nevermind that, what is this in a whole, unprocessed chicken? Are these hormones?
Whatever it is, I would like to hear from Woolworths foods urgently!
