Danger of using ETF and online banking with @home

I made an online transaction on the 27/12/13 for furniture that I purchased using my FNB app.

The money was deducted from my account and put into the public account of Foschini Retail Group (the parent company of @home).

I did not receive a receipt and the store manager Dominic assured me that he will email it to me.

On the 30/12/14 I was informed that my deposit could not be found and that I must REDEPOSIT the amount again into the Foschini account. I was not happy because FNB emailed as well as sent an SMS confirmation stating my money has been deducted from my account and deposited into the Foschini group account.

Marwaan Allie, whom I was told is the HEAD of the finance division, claimed that he had looked into ALL the accounts of the company and could not find the money, and informed me by email, that I must go into FNB and reverse the transaction!!

I had to leave my job early and rush to an FNB branch. The consultant was in total shock and couldnt believe the response from a financial director!! They suggested that he come into the branch and they will teach him how to find money in his own account.

Needless to say they found my money, but i'm battling to get my refund!
