On Friday I went to Ackermans, selected what I wanted and went to pay. I paid with my debit card and as I received the sms saying the payment had gone through, the cashier said the payment was declined. I showed him the sms, he called a supervisor who told me the payment will be reversed and I must just wait. I didn't have time to wait, so I left, without my purchase. On Sunday I went back and told the manager that I had confirmed with my bank that the payment did go off and that I want my purchase. She said that I must go and get a bank statement, bring it to her, and she will send it to head office and then I must come back to the store for a fourth time and I will get my purchase. According to my bank it was a fault on Ackerman's POS, why must I go to so much effort and time for your mistake? Is somebody going to provide some semblance of customer service or should I just reverse the payment?
