Pick 'n Pay
Bad service to Mom and Baby

Shops, Products, Services

I requested a baby seat trolley which was locked. The lady - Maria at customer service, first of all did not greet and just looked at me when I asked her for it. She then blankly told me that I must hand in my Identity document to obtain a trolley. I found this very strange and also without filling in any forms of consent or authorisation. Any way I gave her my ID and continued my shopping. On my return I asked her for my ID and she told me to remove my groceries and take another trolley. I had my baby in the baby seat and my 4 yr old son and all my groceries, about 7 packets of heavy juices, eggs and school stationery. How in was I suppose to now unpack everything, push another trolley with no seat, carry my baby and still assist my 4 yr old to the car?? This new policy of Pick n Pay is inconsiderate to all Moms out there!!! I refused to go and fetch another trolley, in that rage I grabbed the packets, baby and all and rushed out of the store. Dropped everything on the ground as I stood outside and waited for my husband to come and assist me further. When I got home I checked my ID to discover that it was someone elses! I am furious and will NEVER shop at any PnP store again
