Trolley fiasco

Had to get some groceries from Spar & had a friend with me with a baby.
Child was placed in trolley with child chair.
Shopping was done and paid for.
On leaving the shop with the trolley, the security informed us that we are not
allowed to leave the shop with the trolley.
But had to fetch another trolley, unpack the groceries & repack it into the new trolley.
Since when are customers required to repack their groceries & not allowed to take trolleys to their cars.
Are we now to struggle with heavy bags of groceries, whilst still trying to manage with the kids.
We were not going to the trolley, we were only going to use it to transport the goods to the car.
Trolley would have been returned after unloading goods & child.
When trying to ask for assistance from the manager he was impolite & unhelpfull -
'It's their policy not to allow the baby seat trolleys outside'
How stupid is that. Its the first time I hear of such ridicous rules.
What are parents with kids supposed to do :
Waste time & try to find someone to get another trolley or
Kill urself trying to manage carrying ur child as well as the groceries.
Clearly the person who made this ridiculous
