We went to Game Tygervalley to purchase goods on the 3rd of January. The staff were absolutely pathetic regarding their customer service. I came up to the counter for assistance with five of them standing there having a long chat to each other. After waiting about a minute for help it was not forthcoming so I eventually had to get their attention to ask them whether they had stock of a certain item. They went and had a "look" for the stock and just never returned. I left and Game lost a purchase of R1500-00.
I then went to another shop in Tygervalley and purchased the items as the service there was very good.
The issue with Game is in fact not with the staff on the floor, it relates to the training of this staff. If I look at the type of complaints that are on this website most of them relate to poor customer service.
You are losing so much money due to not training your staff in customer service, take for example Sportmans Warehouse were I always receive brilliant customer service, the difference is that the staff are incentivized on purchases and are well trained-it is not difficult to achieve this at Game as well if there is a will.
I will not be supporting Game in future.
