On 21 December 2013 Dischem put through a transaction transaction for goods purchased. After the first transaction, the lady insisted on putting through the same transaction again, even after I showed her on my phone that the transaction had gone through. She assured me it would be no problem for Dischem to refund me should I get double charged. I had no choice but to give her my card again, otherwise they would not let me leave with the goods I paid for. When I went back to Dishem to claim a refund, with my bank statement as proof, they refused to refund me and told me to go to the bank. This is after I spent approx 30 minutes waiting for them to reach a conclusion. I had to spend another 45 min in the hectic bank queue to arrange a refund, PLUS I have to wait 15 working days for my refund. That was my morning ruined - and half a day of my precious leave used up. I am disgusted!!! The manager simply pulled up his shoulders and said there is nothing he can do. I spend up to R700 - R1000 per month at this branch - they clearly do not need my business if they can treat their regular customers like this.
