Easy to take money however not easy to refund mone

On 06th May, I went to the KFC off Rifle Range, placed my order and proceeded to the check out counter. I provided the lady with my Std Bank card, she swiped the card and I provided the pin. The lady than advised me that the transaction was DECLINED, and I then gave her another card (FNB card). That transaction processed successfully. I went home and realised that the transaction on the Std Bank card also went through the Std Bank account. I went to the KFC and spoke to the manager, Steven, who was so clueless, and could not help as I had to tell him what needed to be done, i.e call the company for the machine that prcoessed the transaction. What makes it worse it that after complaining to him and trying to get him to call the company, he told me that the money would take anytime from 2 hours to 72 hours to refund back to me on condition that I provide him with a copy of the statement from my bank showing the transaction yet I logged into my internet banking and showed him the transaction while I was there. I am really annoyed at the service and inconvenience they have caused as now I need to run around and cause more expense by going to the bank and obtaining statements!!!
