Bought shoes from Queue at Ilanga Mall Nelspruit on 08/05/2013 to the value of R549.00. Found the evening that the shoes are too big. Went back to Queue on 09/05/2013 to exchange or refund with relevant till slip and proof of payment. Store manager refused refund and one size smaller did not fit. I was forced to keep the one's bought or exchange for something I did not need or want. Store could not give me a gift card, store credit or refund. Manager said it was stipulated on tax invoice, but only shows "will gladly exchange". It is not stipulated anywhere in store or on the invoice that Queue do not do refunds. The cashier at the time also failed to mention anything of that kind. Now I have to keep something I can not use or try and exchange it every month as the invoice expires after a month. How is it that a consumer can not get their money back and that a retailer can force you to keep something you are unhappy with??? Maybe I should go to the consumer act...
