I bought a gift on the 24/12/2013 at a Sportscene in Westwood Mall. I told the cashier it was a gift and asked if the item did not fit if it could be returned. She said no problem as long as the tags with the barcodes were attached. On the 19/01/2014 the person I bought the gift for tried to exchange the shorts for a different size at the Pavillion branch. They were given such attitude about not having a gift receipt, and then were asked by the store manager Phumalani for the date and time the purchase was made. Which is ridiculous as its a gift. They then phoned me and I spoke to Phumalani who was extremely rude. I couldn't give him the exact time but gave him the date of purchase as well as the amount the transaction was for. He then had to contact Westwood to get the transaction number. I have never heard of anything so ridiculous. Especially when all they wanted to do was take a different size. This whole process took about 2 hours and a lot of back forth to the shop. I then phoned head office this morning to complain and spoke to Ronelle who was so uninterested in what I had to say that I'm not surprised that the other staff behave the way they do.
