No customer service- broken Hoover under Warranty

I bought a Hoover hand vacuum, model 'Sharky' HSV 40 at CLICKS PARKVIEW, on the 17th of October 2013. I asked the cashier, Onicca, what the terms of the warranty is. I specifically asked her if i need to keep the box. Her answer was No, i do not need to keep the box. If the product breaks, i need only bring my slip and the warranty booklet, and I will get a full refund. Needles to say, 3 months later our Hoover broke. When my husband and i went to CLICKS PARKVIEW, we got met with well mannered staff. They however refused to help us without the product's box. When we after an hours waiting got to speak with the manager, she met us with a very bad attitude!!! She refused to help us and offered no service. I got the regional Managers number, Riaan Haas. But he just dropped the phone, when I tried to call him. We are disgusted with the bad service, bad attitude, un-helpfulness and dishonesty. We were given the wrong information by CLICKS and still they refused to help us!!! They have not only to us but refused to help us. Our advise will be to never buy anything from Parkview CLICKS. We are are considering going to the consumer protection act!!!
