Today we went into Makro and purchased some items of which two items were marked on special. Sunstar Oil at R25.90 and garbie supersaver refuse bags at R18.90. Luckily after paying and before exiting, my partner checked the slip and discovered that the items had been charged at R27.95 and R21.95 respectively on our till slip. These items were clearly marked as specials and yet the tills had not been corrected. This to me is of your customers as unless we had noticed this, would have gone through at this price. We received a refund of R11.30 after complaining, but to me this still spells of blatant disrespect to your customers. My challenge to Makro is that they credit each and every customer who had been overcharged on this item in this period. If I had been robbed of R11.30 and hundreds of other customers robbed of this or smaller amounts, add this up and see the amount that Makro has pocketed to their profits. I take exception to being robbed and cannot blame the cashier, but I can blame the people in charge and who should have corrected their systems with the correct pricing or to have removed possible expired pricing on the specific items.
