We visited Edgars Tygervally to look if we can exchange a top for my daughter. At this stage I must express that we wanted the same top just in a different size.
A gentlemen S Sithole walked passed and I asked him for assistance and he could not find what I was looking for and said he will call some one. A few minutes later I spotted him standing between the shoes and then he totally disappeared. In the interim 4 Edgars staff walked pass him and me - not one offering to assist. Or must I say not one directed by S Sithole to assist me. I decided to join the queue at Customer Service to speak to the manager. When I reached the front a customer came rushing by and spoke to a gentlemen which I now new to be the manager. Again I had to wait to be served. Finally I gave up and left the shop.
Question: Is it normal practice for staff not wanting to serve customers? (I think the attitude is: "If I stay away long enough the customer will give up and go away!)
Is it normal practice to allow customers to jump the queue and not serve from the front?
