I bought a brass entrance door lock from Jet Mart yesterday and after fitting and noting it works I threw away the packaging. The following day as I was pulling the key out it pulled out together with its assembly. I went back to Jet and was referred to the Manager who demanded the packaging as a condition for returning the goods. I refused to be turned back for absence of packaging even though I had furnished the receipts. The manager got lucky and shifted to demanding the whole set of 3 keys. I obliged, went back home and gave the missing 2 as well. At that point I was referred to Victor who on being introduced to me by the helpful security lady ignored me and only lifted his head a minute later to only stare at me and ask "what." I relayed my problem and he likewise demanded packaging and again I insisted I would not oblige to that. He went to the back, came back and all without giving me feedback told his colleague to finally process the refund. N.B. This is the same type lock I've bought a 3rd time in the space of 1 and a half years from the same Jet. Whilst I will not repeat the same bad decision it's noteworthy that I received no apology from Jet Mart.
