Incorrect information regarding Cheque payment

I have bought goods to the value of R9900.00 from DionWired as a present which my company paid. My company paid the cheque to Dion on Friday the 18th of January 2013.
On the quote that I received and which my company used to do the payment it stated that a " Direct cheque deposits require a clearance period of 7 to 14 days" and Internet transfers require a clearance period of 5 working days."

The sale person also explained this to me. Dion do not specifically indicate that the waiting periods for cheques has nothing to do with working days as is specifically indicated in point 6 of the quote.
When question Dion when I can fetch my goods they said the 8th of February 2013.

This will therefore be 21 days after the payment was done on the 18th of January 2013 AND NOT 7-14 days.

On the same day my comp paid Dion - they have paid an amount into my bank account. Both me and Dion bank with ABSA and my cheque was cleared after 7 days. I cannot see how ABSA will have different rules for individuals and companies.

When I question Dion regarding this they just said it will be 8th of February and that is how it shall be. Misrepresentation of info on quote. BAD!!
