If you sponsor parties do it near your house

Shops, Products, Services

All of Sunday there was music blaring in our neighbour hood. At 7pm on Sunday night my children were crying as they could not go to sleep. I drove around the neighbourhood to find the source of the music. I eventually came to the party at the park in Birdhaven (James and Ethel Gray Park I think).

When I went to complain, firstly I was barred access and secondly I was told that permission was given to have the music until 10 pm on a SUNDAY NIGHT. In addition I was told, that there was nothing that I could do as all stakeholders were "taken care of" (I translate that as paid off).

When asked to speak to the person in charge I was told NO. The only information that they would give me is that SAB Miller were the main sponsors.

So SAB, if you want to associate your name with raucous parties in residential areas, do it near your house and if it is on a Sunday, please realize that there are children, elderly and infirm in the area and they dont need to list to the racket paid for by you the whole of Sunday and Sunday night.

In addition, I would think twice about supporting parties if public officials are "incentivisied" to issue licenses until late at night. Good corporate governance?
