Miracle Waters
& Bad Attitude

Miscellaneous

On Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th March, 2013, my partner, her daughter and myself visited Miracle Waters. When we arrived at the entry gate we were told that the entry fee was R70 per person per day and there was no discussion on children under 10 being free for entry. The gentlemen at the gate charged us R210 on both days. On entry into the site on Sunday we took a photograph of the main sign as a momento of our visit and even at that time didn't read the print that said children under 10 were free. Later on Sunday after leaving the site we reviewed the photo and realised children under 10 were free. As a matter of principle, we drove back to the site and requested a refund for both Saturday and Sunday as our daugher is 9 years old. At first the owner became very abrupt with us and indicated he would refund for Sunday only as it showed 3 persons on the ticket but not for Saturday as it only showed 2 persons and yet we were charged for 3 both days. The gentlemen at the gate had changed the persons from 3 to 2 in the entry book and had taken the additional R70 for himself. The owner was quite abrupt and abusive to my partner and eventually after arguing gave back R140.
