Hyperama H&H Greenstone refuses sale

We tried to purchase a fridge from Hyperama House and Home in Greenstone, which we are purchasing for our family housekeeper a part of her retirement gift. She leaves for her farm home on Wednesday. We were told there was no stock of the fridge and new stock would only be in ""sometime between Monday and Friday"" - when we offered to purchase the fridge off the floor at a discount, the manager told us there was no discount to be offered. After some negotiations, we gave up and offered to purchase the fridge from the floor at listed price. Then he told us he wasn't selling the fridge at all. With the time issues being faced, we are appalled at the lack of flexibility, the absolute absence of customer service and the disrespect demonstrated in this interaction. To top it all off, this smacks of of the worst kind and the store manager on duty should be held to account for the contempt and lack of interest in a sale displayed. Not only has Hyperama lost a sale and a customer but also all the potential customers I will interact with in the future.
