Mr Price Home has messed up our gift registry

Shops, Products, Services

My Fiance and I recently opened up a gift registry at a Mr Price home store in Port Elizabeth. We opened up the registry in store and we double checked with the employee that we could put put a Surname as a reference on the wedding invite. We were reassured that we would not need the Registry number.

We found out this past weekend that one of our friends attempted to look at the registry in store and that the surname was not recognised. They could do nothing.

We went in today to query why the surname was not being recognised and we were informed that Mr Price Home have just launched online shopping and that you can no longer open, edit, or request a gift registry in store. Guests will have to enter the registry number onto the website, and then order online.

This has been a huge shock to us. There has been no communication! And as we went to check online, the site doesnt even recognise our registry number. Hence, all our hard work is gone. What about people without internet. This takes away the personal touch of choosing a gift. We are extremely unhappy and shocked.

This is completely unprofessional and doesn't make sense. We wait for an explanation.

One very unhappy couple
