Good day,
I am from Trichardt and was in Durban for the weekend. I purchased a pack of Magnum ice creams on Sunday from the Pick n Pay Village Market in Westville.
I noticed that I was overcharged and brought it to the attention of the lady at the kiosk. She subsequently called the manager, Bianca. She took her own sweet time to arrive and gave me a terrible face. She then proceded to refund me the overcharge of R2. This took her all of about 7 minutes. When I enquired about getting the product free, she notified me that the policy no longer stands and that I was only entitled to double the oovercharge. When I pointed out that I should have been given R4, her reply was "Oh " in an absolutely exasperated tone! I would like to ask whether she was doing me a favour, or simply just doing her job??
She then proceeds to calculate on a calculator how much she has to give me. R59, 99 - R57, 99, and then doubled is absolutely simple maths and does not require 2 minutes of calculation. I was in a hurry that day as I had to drivve back to Trichardt.
My time does not come for free, and neither does a refund take 10 minutes to administer.
PnP has lost my business.
