Incorrect price on display goods

Today on 17/11/2013 at 11:30 am I went to Ellerines to buy a 2piece glass coffee table, on the display it was priced at R999.00 I called a saleslady named Nandipa Mtshekisa and told her that i want to buy it cash, she went to the manager (Mariete) to confirm the price and was told by her that the item was R1299.00, i told her that i saw it priced at R999, and showed her the price tag on the coffee table, she told me that the merchandiser who was barcoding the coffetable made a mistake and put a wrong price, I asked the manager how is it my fault that the store has put the wrong price because in the tag it was priced R999, she checked the prices on the computer&confirmed to me that it was not R999 but was R1299 &it is the person who priced the table who made the mistake so she cannot sell it to me for R999 I want it then I must pay R1299, i asked both of them who is responsible for the mistake, was it me the customer or Ellerines the store? they said it was the store as the merchandiser is employed by Ellerines but still they refused to sell me the coffee table for R999 the price i saw on its tag, the guy who put the wrong price was told to correct it but i never got any apology from them
