After spending nearly 10minutes in an empty store standing in front of your shoe section and having listened to every staff members plans for the coming weekend, eventually a 'sale' person walked over.
I inquired what the difference was between your Salomon R2500 pair of hiking boots and the Merrell at R1300. The salesperson told me she will get a specialist. The 'specialist' explained that from the R899 Hi-Tecs to the R2800 Salamon - THERE WAS NO DIFFERENCE - as they are all 'waterproof'. I'm not sure what your staff specialise in, unless it's standing in one place and ignoring customers.

Due South fails to appreciate that you sell outdoor equipment and that people purchasing the gear will be exposed to at times extreme conditions and elements and run the risk of hypothermia or worse, based on your staff's guidance. Not all customers are going for a hike through Constantia forest on a Sunday afternoon.

Please be very very clear in all your branding and communication that your staff are not informed on anything outdoor related and all that all research should be done before entering the store or go to Cape Union Mart instead.

Your service is pathetic.
