Will never recommend house brand

I was given a pasta maker for my birthday this year. It is an @home house brand. I've used it several time & it works fine. Around aug, I noticed that the rollers are starting to rust. The box says stainless steel & lifetime guarantee. When I took it to the store in gateway they said that there is nothing that they can do because I don't have a sales slip. I tried to explain to them, that's is not usual practice for a sales slip to accompany a gift, but they said that this was policy. They were willing to take it back and refund me R90.
This is rubbish, if it's a house brand, it proves that it was bought in an @Home store. No other store, I think, sells @home branded stuff. If the company is not willing to replace faulty merchandise, then it shouldn't sell its own brand of stuff. Now what happens to the hundreds of people that use @home's wedding registry, they should be warned that the gifts they receive, are poorly manufactured, and should something happen to their gift, they are helpless. Since, like me they don't have a receipt. Every since my experience at the store, I've encouraged people that I know, NOT to use this franchises gift reg.
